KBD Juniors

Focused on unearthing the next generation of kabaddi superstars across India, KBD Juniors saw young kabaddi enthusiasts participating in large numbers from across the 12 franchise cities of Vivo Pro Kabaddi. The 5-month tournament saw students in the age group of 10-15 years compete against other schools around the country to be declared the KBD Juniors season 1 champions.

The program aimed at popularizing kabaddi among kids and giving them opportunity to play at the national level. A unique feature of the program was ‘meet and greet’ session with PKL starts which motivated the students to give in their best in the tournament. Also, program bytes and matches were telecast on Star Sports, giving the students an experience of being a part of a ‘professional sport’. 1152 kids along with 96 coaches from 96 schools across 12 cities were engaged with this program.

KBD Juniors turned out to become one of the most successful sporting events to be broadcast on television in terms of ratings and reach. The event achieved an average viewership of .5 TVR which was more than the ISL & Pro Kabaddi league. It gained a TRV of .8 for national finals which was more than ISL finals.
