Past SVP & CTO at Motorola, Past President at Qualcomm, Past CEO at Wireless Knowledge, Past CEO at Novatel Wireless (led its successful IPO); Past Chairman of the Telecommunications Industry Association, TIA, and the Electronics Industry Association, EIA. Past member of the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board of the National Academy of Science.  (ex-)Advisor to Wireless Facilities and (ex-)Science Advisor to Loral Space Systems.

Represented Maharashtra in Badminton and part of the IIT Bombay and IIM Bangalore institute Football and Badminton Teams.
