| Terms, Conditions, Rules & Regulations
1. SportzConsult are the organizers of the tournament
2. Participation in SoccerFest entitles each corporate to participate in 5-a-side inter-corporate soccer tournament. Teams will be competing for 3 Cups:
- Champions Cup
- Premier Cup
- Challenger Cup
3. To begin with, all teams will be divided in a group of 3 teams each. After the league phase all the teams in the top positions will compete for Champions Cup. The next level teams will compete for the Premier Cup & the bottommost teams will compete for Challengers Cup.
4. Each team has to register a maximum of 8 team members before the start of the 1st game.
5. Playing Area:
- Field dimensions: 34m * 24m.
- Goal dimensions: 3m * 2m
- The 'D' will be two quarter-circles of 4m radius from the center of the goal line and a straight line parallel to the goal line.
- Penalty mark 5m from the mid point between the goal post.
6. If the ball crosses the sideline, the ball will be kicked in to restart the game.
7. Other Rules:

All 8 members are eligible for the soccer tournament.

Only company employees are allowed. Part-timers and contract employees are also permitted to play.

Unlimited substitutions. The substitution is on rolling basis; any number of substitutions is possible from within the team of the day.

Goalkeeper can swap roles with any field player after informing the referee.

In order for play to commence, both teams have to have atleast 3 players on the field. In case a team does not have 3 players, the opposing team will be awarded the points.

During the course of a match, if, in the event of players being sent off the field and fewer than three players (including the goalkeeper) are left in either of the teams, the match will be abandoned. The game will be awarded to the opponent team.

Players will be provided Jerseys and shorts. All the players have to wear it during the game and their presence at the venue.

Soccer studs allowed. Players will not be allowed to play bare-foot.

Team has to reach the venue at least an hour prior to their scheduled time of first match on the day.

Team should be ready and report for the match at least 10 minutes before their scheduled match start time
8. Game duration:

Men’s - 10 minutes each half. 3 minutes half time.

Women’s – 7 minutes each half. 3 minutes half time
9. Game rules:

During a free-kick, the opposing team players will stand a minimum of 5 ft away from the ball.

Goalkeeper cannot handle the ball outside the "D". Back pass to goalkeeper is allowed but he cannot handle the ball when a back pass is given.

Goalkeeper will roll the ball (underhand), instead of a goal-kick, if he holds the ball in his hands. Throwing the ball is not permitted.

Goalkeeper cannot hold the ball in his/her hands for more than 3 seconds.

Goals can be scored from any part of the field

Penalty kicks will be taken from a distance of 5m from the goal line. Penalty taker can only take two steps before kicking the ball.
10. Points:

Win - 2 points

Draw - 1 point

Loss - 0 point.
11. Walkover - 2 points to opposing team with 2 goals in opponent’s favor.
12. Tie-breaker:
-
For league, no extra-time will apply.
-
For quarters, semis and finals, 2 halves of 3 minutes each will be played.
If this also results in a tie, the two teams will play a penalty shoot out (3 kicks) to decide the winner. In case of a tie, sudden death rule will be applied with penalty kick and the team scoring first will be the winner.
13. Tournament Format:
- League followed by knockout.
- For league, no extra-time will apply.
- In case of a tie, the order for tie-break will be as follows:
*The highest points will decide the winner of the league. In case of a tie for the top position only, goals-for minus goals-against will be considered, and if the teams are still level, the team with higher goals for will move ahead. If this also results in a tie, the two teams will play a penalty shoot out (5 kicks) to decide the winner. In case of a tie, sudden death rule will be applied with penalty kick and the team scoring first will be the winner.
14. Teams may have to play more than 1 match in a day.
15. Team Captain and/or Coordinator’s is responsible for::

Fair play and professional conduct of the team and its supporters, both, on and off the field and at all times during the team’s presence at the venue.

Ensuring that his/her team and supporters follow the rules and regulations of the tournament and abide the decisions of the referees and/or organizers.

Respecting the players, opponents, referees and organizers of and at SoccerFest 2009.
-
Ensuring that no damage is caused to the venue, infrastructure and other facilities provided during the tournament.

Ensuring that his/her team reports to the venue at least 45 minutes before the start of the first match of the day.

Ensuring that his/her team is ready to start the match at least 10 minutes before the start of the match.
-
Ensure that the players belong to the same company that he/she represents and everyone carries their identity cards during the tournament and should provide them whenever the organizers ask for it.

Understand the rules and regulations with the referees before the start of the match and make them clear to the team
16. Action will be taken against a team, if the team or its player or supporter is showing unsporting or unfair behavior or any other behavior that violates or disrespects the spirit of the game and/or the tournament. The action will depend on the seriousness of the violation and the SoccerFest 2009 committee’s (SportzConsult, Referees and others concerned) decision will be final.
17. If a team walks out of the match or ground, for whatsoever reasons, without the consent of the referees and/or organizers will be disqualified from the tournament and the fee will not be refunded.
18. In case of any protest, it has to be submitted officially in writing, by the team captain, within half an hour of the incident, along with a protest fee of Rs.250/-. In case the protest is rejected, the fee will be forfeited.
19. SportzConsult reserves the right to reject an entry without assigning any reason whatsoever.
20. Participation is strictly on First Come First Serve basis subject to payment of registration fee.
21. The referees have full authority and rights to handle situations, like walkover, reduction of time, other disputable circumstances, at their discretion. Referees’ decision will be final in such cases/circumstances.
22. In cases not covered in the tournament rules or where the tournament rules are not clear, the SoccerFest 2009 committee's decision will be final and binding.
23. The referee’s decision is final and binding on all players and teams.
Note:
- The rules, regulations & format are subject to weather/ground conditions and shall be modified suitably and informed to the team captain and/or coordinator.
- The rules, regulations & format are subject to change by SoccerFest 2009 committee and any such changes will be intimated to the team captain and/or coordinator.
- SoccerFest 2009 committee reserves the right to reschedule and/or cancel the event as per its discretion and any such changes will be intimated to the team captain and/or coordinator.
- SportzConsult, referees, sponsors, volunteers, ball boys, venue staff or any other person/entity directly or indirectly associated with the event will not be responsible for any monetary/personal loss or damage or injury incurred during or after the tournament.
- SportzConsult will not be responsible for the cancellation or rescheduling of the matches/tournament due to any unforeseen circumstances like acts of nature, political activities, strikes, acts of terrorism or any other unforeseen events of these kinds.
- Medical staff and first aid kit will be available at the venue but in case of a anyone needing immediate medical attention, all medical expenses will have to borne by his/her company or by him/her. Under no circumstances, SportzConsult can be held liable for any such expenses.
